As a parent of an inquisitive three-year-old child and living with four generations under one roof; to include my grandmother of 105 years of age, the threat of the Coronavirus aka Covid 19, is very real, daunting and at times overwhelming.   This pandemic has made me re-evaluate and re-educate myself in order to safeguard the most vulnerable in my own household.

Even, my recent visit to the local supermarket further mirrored this message!  Displaying a large notice stating, “Due to the current situation, could you not please cough or sneeze into the air or over the counter, instead, do so into your upper sleeve, elbow or tissue, not your hands!”

That got me thinking.  Children don’t always carry tissues with them. And some of them may still be being taught to cover their mouth with their hands if coughing or sneezing.  Coughing into your hands, which then go on to touch other objects and surfaces rapidly spreads infection and germs.

Furthermore, we touch our face from 3-5000 times a day, the risk of spreading infection is incredibly high. Children who are naturally curious and tactile are unsurprisingly likely to spread infection at an exponential rate.

The whole country has pulled together with great enthusiasm, spirit and gusto during this pandemic!   The NHS staff and keyworkers are putting their lives at risk to save us, and are worthy of superhero status!

We have been working on SuperPersonalisedBooks.co.uk, since 2017 just after my daughter was born.
